Vocord improves the functionality of VOCORD D8 PCI board and VOCORD LD8 network server

Vocord engineers improved the functionality of VOCORD D8 PCI board and VOCORD LD8 Ethernet-enabled device.

VOCORD D8 PCI board and VOCORD LD8 device are intended for receiving, decoding, processing, and Ethernet broadcasting of DSL data packets, featuring parallel connection to eight 2- or 4-wire digital subscriber lines (DSLs) of PBXs or PSTNs.

The following improvements are introduced: the installation procedure is streamlined and new features are added that allow using VOCORD D8 board and VOCORD LD8 network server in the same system. The maximum number of boards that can be connected to a single server is 16 (96 channels). VOCORD D8 and VOCORD LD8 allow recording audio data directly from DECT base stations.

The boards’ distinctive feature is their support of geographically distributed systems. A VOCORD LD8 device can be installed next to the PBX switch box, while the server and the data storage can be placed in a secure remote location (which greatly increases the level of security).

VOCORD D8 and VOCORD LD8 have similar feature lists and technical specifications, with the following differences:

  • VOCORD D8 is a PCI board used for developing PC-based multi-channel registration systems included in the technical channel registration system VOCORD Phobos. Boards with a reduced number of channels (VOCORD D4) are also available.
  • VOCORD LD8 is a standalone Ethernet-enabled device. This device is recommended for developing distributed registration systems and for field work with mobile registration systems.

VOCORD D8 and VOCORD LD8 are compliant with protocols from almost all vendors operating on the market. These devices are used in security services, dispatching desks, emergency services and call centers, as a part of multi-channel recording system VOCORD Audio and Video.
