Description
PHOBOS Audio is a PC-based digital audio recording system, a member of the VOCORD universal digital recorders family. It permits recording up to 960 audio channels on one chassis.
Architecture
PHOBOS Audio uses specialised PCI adapters for connection to different signal sources: analogue phone lines, microphones, digital phone lines (ISDN BRI and PRI), VoIP network and others. All call related information, including information from the D-channel of a digital PBX or a phone screen, is retrieved and recorded.
All recordings are archived. The archive can store millions of records, which are available in real-time without affecting system performance. Search and retrieval uses record attributes for speed and efficiency.
Configuration
The system has a feature-rich setting set including recording channel configuration and task scheduling. All audio channels are completely independent; audio compression and digital conversion frequency, as well as physical line parameters, can be adjusted on a channel-by-channel basis. All setting changes are applied 'on the fly'.

Networking
PHOBOS Audio is designed using client/server architecture. An operator can view live/recorded audio streams, and control and configure the system remotely; there is no functional difference between local or remote access.
PHOBOS Audio can be used in a multi-station configuration with dozens of recording stations in a network, with centralised monitoring, archive navigation, access right management, and system configuration.
