Vocord was founded in 1999 by a group of graduates from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT). From the very outset the company has established its hallmark for development and production of equipment with unique technical features. This fact allowed the company to become a leading participant in the market of multichannel digital multimedia processing systems.

At present the company focuses on the use of innovative technologies in the fields of IT, telecommunications and engineering security features. Vocord had started with production of digital audio processing systems which were revolutionary for that time. Today the company offers more than a hundred high-tech products and solutions.

Ministry of the Interior, Unified Energy Systems of Russia, EMERCOM, Moscow Ambulance Service and other services are all equipped with Phobos Audio.  It is no coincidence that Siemens decided in favour of Vocord as a partner to develop customized solutions for electric power industry.

At present the company offers new integrated documenting solution for call processing center VOCORD CTI, solutions for fraud prevention in fixed line and mobile telephony VOCORD AntiFraud and communication lines monitor systems VOCORD Phobos.

Vocord offers the full range of solutions for video surveillance - from autonomous portable video recording servers VOCORD Avantpost to geographically distributed integrated security systems VOCORD Tahion. High quality of video record, approved by Russian Office of Forensic Sciences, is one of the distinctive features of the systems. For this reason the nuclear sites, automatic control system of Moscow traffic “START” and other critical sites are equipped with  the systems.  

Recently the company has been developing automatic systems of video analysis, such as video capture and facial recognition systems VOCORD FaceControl and road traffic monitor systems VOCORD Traffic.  

Recent Vocord developments in video surveillance include digital progressive scanning cameras with mega pixel resolution.
